Parish Day of Reflection at Buckfast
The Joy of the Gospel
I was apprehensive in attending a ‘reflection day’. I have never been on retreat, so was unsure what I was letting myself in for. I am very fortunate in that I have a very varied and full life and sometimes fitting “religion” into it can be difficult with so many choices. During Lent I like to try and fit in an extra Mass or Stations of the Cross during my week. So far this Lent I have not been very successful as life keeps getting in the way. So I was pleased to be going for the parish day as I felt this might help get me back on track. I expected a day of quiet prayer! A retreat. It wasn’t very quiet except Father silencing us for 5 minutes during lunch.
