Centenary Prayer
Pour out your Spirit, Lord, upon our parish
In this our centenary year.
With gratitude we call to mind your blessings in the past.
With confidence we commend into your hands the possibilities of tomorrow
And of today we pray that we may serve with humility and joy.
Renew in us therefore those gifts of Faith and Hope and Love
That you kindled deep within us
On the day we were baptized.
Fill again our minds with your light
Fill our hearts with your love
Fill our bodies with your presence
So that in all we say and do and are
We may bear faithful witness to the Truth
That Jesus Christ is Lord
Who dwells among us.
Breathe new life into the ministries of our parish
And let Welcome,Word,Worship, Welfare and Witness
Be the marks of our community.
So that in this year of jubilee,
Filled with your Spirit,
We may proclaim Good News to all,
And be your instruments
In renewing the face of the earth.
