World Wide Knit In Public Day – Better Living Though Stitching Together

WWKIP Day is unique, in that it’s the largest knitter run event in the world.

Each local event is put together by a volunteer or a group of volunteers. It was started in 2005 by Danielle Landes and takes place on the second Saturday of June each year. It began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other’s company.

On 18th July 2016 our very own ‘Knit & Natter’ group went out ‘on location’ to Exmouth Library and demonstrated to the library visitors how to knit, while inviting them to join our lively group who meet once a month at Holy Ghost. Some of the group chose to wear our centenary tee shirts with pride, and we congratulate them for taking ‘the church’ out into the local community.
