Our Parish Census Weekend

Our Parish Census Weekend was a huge success thanks to the many parishioners, young and not so young, who spent many hours preparing for it and helping out. What a wonderful weekend we had! Thank you to everyone who supported us and helped us raise funds for the parish.

Our thanks also to Wendy for organising the matched funding with Barclays Bank – I am delighted to tell you that we raised the £1,000 needed to be matched by Barclays – thank you for a great community effort.

The photos catch a flavour of our moving forward sale on Sunday morning where parishioners had the opportunity to buy ‘seasonal necessities’ . A wonderful range of Christmas cakes, pies, puddings, preserves, cards, gifts and decorations were the result of many many hours of creativity by a team of dedicated and talented parishioners – these will be enjoyed by the many parishioners who supported the morning – what a wonderful morning.

Our new ‘A Team’ were superb and completed their ‘first shift’ in style! You will have the opportunity to see them at work again for our first Holy Family Parish Feast Day. On Friday 30th December, following Mass, Fr. Philip invites you all to join him for a shared lunch. A great opportunity to disguise those Christmas delicacies and get creative with a whole range of ingredients! Please join us and bring a plate to share and something to toast the New Year – let’s celebrate our united parish of The Holy Family with our lovely Holy Family Sisters.
