Pilgrimage is becoming a very familiar experience to parishioners of the Holy Family Parish in Exmouth as they have been led annually to Rome and, or, Assisi for the last eight years by Fr. Philip who said back then that he wanted to show parishioners ‘the bigger church’. During this Year of Mercy, Pope Francis has encouraged us to go on pilgrimage and so as a ‘pilgrimage parish’ another pilgrimage was duly planned! On Sunday 21 st August 2016, 47 parishioners left Exmouth, with pilgrims from Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Sidmouth, Essex and Ireland bound for Santiago de Compostela.
