The Parish of the Holy Family came together during Holy Week – they joined with Bishop Mark, clergy and parishioners from across the Diocese at the Cathedral for the Chrism Mass and then brought back the Holy Oils, blessed by Bishop Mark, for use in the parish throughout the coming year. We walked through the Triduum together towards the culmination at the Easter Vigil. As we gathered in the garden around the Easter fire, fireworks filled the sky and we celebrated that Jesus that Jesus has risen for us.
Easter Sunday saw our churches full to capacity and at Holy Church the dozens of children were all given chocolate chicks by Fr. Philip and big helium filled yellow balloons with the words ‘Happy Easter – Jesus is alive’.
