Happy New Year!!!

On New Year’s Eve a group of us from last year’s Confirmation group hosted an afternoon tea for some members of the Parish. The gathering was aimed at people who spent a lot of time in their own company over the festive season and was a way of stretching out the hand of friendship.

We had around 20 people who came and enjoyed endless tea and coffee, a selection of sandwiches and an amazing lemon cake. Father Philip welcomed everyone, we were on hand to serve drinks and for conversation and at the end of the afternoon my sister, Ellori sang Abba’s I have a Dream.
We all had a great afternoon and I think everyone who came enjoyed it too. From Bronwyn.

The New Year’s Eve lunch was a great success! It enabled parishioners who may not have seen many people over the Christmas period, get together over a warm drink and some tasty refreshments all kindly laid on by Fr Philip.

A few from my Confirmation group helped to serve all the teas and coffees and I particularly enjoyed being a “tea lady” with Edward. It was a great atmosphere and it finished with a glass of bubbly (fizzy water for us of course) and a slice of delicious lemon cake.

Being the youngest, Lewis had the important job of cutting the cake!

A great ending to 2018! From Benjamin
