The Open Door Centre is once again hosting a traditional Christmas Day meal, for anyone who finds themselves without Christmas Day plans who would like to share a meal with others. The day will start at 11:45am with carol singing, followed by a three course dinner including turkey with all the trimmings or vegetarian alternative. After lunch there will be an opportunity to watch a Christmas movie, play board games or to simply relax. The meal is free of charge.
Helen Tribble, manager of Open Door, says “I am very much looking forward to Christmas Day at Open Door and I know many of our regulars are too! I’d like to take this opportunity to spread the invitation to those who may not be so familiar with Open Door, to anyone who might benefit from a free meal and some friendly company on Christmas Day. From those without a roof over their head to those who find Christmas a lonely time, everyone will be very welcome.”
