On Friday the 5th of February Father Philip came to officially open our Foundation Stage Unit. The ceremony began with the whole school gathering to take part in an exciting countdown and witness Father Philip cutting the ribbon.
Parents, Staff, Governors and Parishioners joined the children for a blessing. The children listened with interest to Father Philip and their sense of awe was very apparent to all present. A blessing prayer was shared followed by sprinkling our Foundation Unit with Holy water. Everyone was moved by the children’s beautiful singing that powerfully added to the sense of the occasion.
Lots of people commented that they had a tear in their eye. It truly was a special day that will be remembered for a long time to come.
